Hello and welcome!
I am sorry to hear of the worries you are currently dealing with in regards to your medication. It is hard enough to deal with the anxiety itself...but then add med availability issues on top, and it is a lot to deal with.
I agree that while discontinuing may be your eventual end game...simply running out of your meds is not the best way to go about
it! You will want to have a doctor approved weaning schedule...as well as be in a place (preferably with therapy and self help skills) that will allow you to get along without an Rx, or at least as a lesser level than what you are currently on.
So for now...what can you do? Since you are not established at this point with a doctor or clinic and don't have an appointment set up for an eval and script
...your best bet might be looking into an outpatient/day program where you can at least receive the help and meds you need.
If you can't find a program that's available...at least get set up with a healthcare facility/doctor and start the wait list process. Everyday you don't do it is another day that you are going without help...so even if it means you might run out of your meds before you get in....at least there is light at the end of the tunnel so to speak.
If you need to, you can stretch your A/D's out to every other, then every 3 days...
...and look up water titration for your benzo. (basically crushing your pill and suspending in large quantities of water to make it go farther) There are videos on youtube where you can learn this method.
I wish I could be of more help. Others may have other suggestions, so keep checking back. Also see our Resources at the top of the forum page here for some great self help material that will give you some valuable anxiety management tools.
Keep posting as well. We understand, care and support is key!
