I'm looking forward to this coming week, even though I don't have a lot that needs to be done this week in particular.

Let us know

Upcoming holidays are causing anxiety and apprehension with me

Wakeful middle of the nights with panicky feelings

I remind myself that of course I’m feeling like this under the circumstances

Change the direction I’ve been sleeping in and anytime my mind takes me to a place I don’t wish to be until I fall back to sleep

Hi All,
it’s been few months since I’ve been here. I wanted to stop by, say hi hope everyone is doing/managing well.
Things have been pretty chaotic for me my mother was hospitalized then out after two weeks, I got hernia surgery two days ago and now I had to take my mom back to the ER and no one is giving her any positive news. So it’s been really stressful and painful both emotionally and now physically with the surgery. I’m feeling completely behind with all of my responsibilities. Mentally though I think I’m better than where I was last year this time so that’s the little bit of bright news I hang onto.
HT- I hope your healing goes well and speedy!

I'm sure having to have surgery is stressful at times.

I've been lucky that I've never had to had surgery before, although I've been in the ER before.

Hope things get better for you, Labradorite.

I never knew how stressful it was going to be until I woke up and had trouble breathing, all this congestion was stuck in my lungs and I couldn’t cough it up because of the pain from the operation so I felt like I was suffocating. it was very frightening and I was pretty convinced I was not going to be able to get through it but I guess I can be somewhat thankful for the tools I’ve learned from dealing with anxiety the last few years helped me cope with some of it.

Healing thoughts/prayers going out to Happy Turtle and Labradite (as well as for your mom Lab!!) May you heal quickly and fully and be back to feeling yourselves soon.

This has been a bit of a rough one for me. Tomorrow we are going to have our dear senior cat, D.C. put to rest. His quality of life is not good, and not going to improve since he is approx. 20 years and has reached the end of his healthy years. He is too thin and weak to stand/walk much at all any longer, so it is time to say goodbye. We are having a vet come to our house to administer his shot, but I fear I am going to panic, as end of life events are a trigger for me. I know everyone says it is a natural part of life...but I just can't feel that way. I hate that loved ones have to die, and I really struggle with health/death anxiety.

On top of this, my daughter's school had a shooter threat on campus today. I went to take her out of classes and all is safe (turned out to be a sick hoax) but that is just too familiar with all that has recently escalated. It really makes for parental anxiety for something that should just be a routine part of life...ya know, your kid going to school to learn...w/o fear of them being shot.

Thanks for listening and any positive thoughts/prayers are appreciated.

This coming week should be a good one for me, as I travel to Rhode Island on Tuesday, and then celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. We're going to eat out at a hotel in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire on Thursday.

I'm looking forward to it.

Thank you Lab!! Much appreciated.

H.T. Sorry to hear of your annoying neighbors. That is difficult to live with. Peace be yours...even with the troublesome people you have to deal with.
