Hi everyone I am so thankful for this forum.
Again I am here for stiff neck pain, it was very stiff a couple of weeks ago, so painful. Now the pain is stil there but les intensity. It mainly happens when I move my neck to the left or I drop my head to look down. I feel it run down my back and left shoulder. Of course I am scared of cancer, as usual. Its been almost 7-8 weeks I am sos cared. Have any of you had this before?

I'm glad you like this forum! I like it too.

Have you seen a doctor lately? If so, what did he or she tell you about your neck?

I see a chiropractor for my bad lower back and he puts it back in place and it works every time. I have an extra vertebra in my back and it slips out every now and then.

Net says chiropractors can also help with a stiff neck. I would find one on the search engine by typing in "chiropractor for your city" on the search engine on the opening web page of the net.

My chio told me, for my back or other injured areas, to use a heating pad (moist heat can
beltter), which increases the blood flow to the injured area. Alternate with cold granule pack, sold at drug stores, that you keep in the freezer. This reduces the inflammation.

Hi LUV,

Sorry to hear of your trouble with neck pain. I used to have it real bad. Chiropractic really helped me. Just a suggestion (up to you whether to try it), but I would go see a chiro as soon as possible. He/she may be able to do an adjustment that will help you. Other than that, I would go along with the suggestion of trying alternating heat and cold. And by the way, you don't have to go buy a cold pack, just put some ice cubes in a plastic storage bag and use that.

Good luck!

I had severe neck pain
Got so bad by noon I couldn't even hold my head up
Had a MRI then went to see a spine specialist. I have stenosis and those things HT talks of.
A few steroid shots into the canal and the relief was almost immediate, Its been 4 or 5 years and it sometimes comes back but it is mild.
Good luck

Sorry to read you are having neck issues. I've had neck & back issues for years. Try a moist heating pad, OTC analgesics, Tiger Balm is a favorite of mine. Look at the age of your pillow too. Above all, watch your posture.

I hope you get to feeling better.
