Many psychiatrists become doctors because psychiatry helps lots of people. And they find psychiatry as something that's fascinating to them because it changes the lives of so many folks suffering from mental illness in a positive way.
However, those who become psychiatrists really have to pay their dues first. For some of them, medical school are the hardest years of their lives.
Yet they are willing to go through all of that stress and hard work because they want to help people.
Yes, I know psychiatrists make real good money.
But to pay their dues like that because they want to help people, to me, is awesome and commendable.
