I have been through menopause but it was relatively easy for me. I didn't have mood swings or anything but I did get occasional hot flashes and a lot of night sweats. For the hot flashes I dressed in thin layers so I could remove if I had to. But for night sweats, there isn't a lot you can do. I would always wake up drenched. I would be hot and then cold because I was wet.
I didn't take any hormones to help. But it wasn't that bad for me except for the nights. But that lasted a few months and went away.
I hope you find something to make it easier. We are all different so the symptoms and severity of them vary. I wish you the best and hope that it goes by quick for you.
Try breathing exercises for the anxiety. They really do help.
