It's been a little while since I posted but I have been reading content and seeing how supportive everyone continues to be here. It's really nice to see.
Recently I left a job that had me perpetually stressed and unfortunately imbibing too much with my favorite alcohol, wine. While I had been planning on leaving that work stress and stopping alcohol, both happened rather suddenly. Good news is my stress has plummeted (except for anxiety) and I have been booze free for 9 days which is a major accomplishment for me.
Problem is I am having somewhat bad anxiety unspooling as it were. My spouse is super supportive and everyone I know has been encouraging, but this dang future uncertainty has me in one of those anxious moods that stick around for a while. I realize these situations just take time to resolve, but has anyone else gone through a change where they had an A-HA moment regarding managing anxiety? So far I've been using my usual coping skills, but this is a bit of a big life change for me.
Thanks so much!
