hello All
As some of you maybe knowing , i went through a traumatic divorce 4 years ago and had to be on depression and anxiety medication for almost 3 years

earlier this year i started seeing a few woman
and i got involved with one , whom i somehow i couldn't connect ...maybe not attracted?
although she says( till today) she still has feelings ( which i feel bad about too) .
i had a few dates afetr that but nothing lasted more than a few dates

then in August i got attracted to a women in a different city ( long distance)
we were attracted so much to each other...it was all nice and well and we had a great connect
but then she started to feel hat she wasn't good enough for me and went on falling apart despite me convincing each time that it wasn't the case

finally she called it quits and returned back the ring which i had given her ( yes i actually gave a ring !!!...what else do u need to know??? )'..this was done in the most shocking manner
it was sneaked in my bag along with certain other things which i gave her
and i was told about it after i landed in my city

now i feel a huge void in my life
it may not be maybe even half to the extent that my divorce was honestly but there is pain , anxiety , feeling pf abandoning
i do not want to return back to medication
i did take a pill for better sleep and I'm feeling kind of better but pain, felling of loss is there

just wanted to check in :-(
please note : i have made the whole desc brief as u would expect

Hi vkj, sorry to read about what you are dealing with. Unfortunately, this forum has pretty much died, very little activity.

One thing I will point out, long distance relationships can be very, very difficult to maintain. Over the years here at Healing Well, I've read many posts about long distance relationships not working out for a variety of reasons. Maybe her reason for ending the relationship is true, maybe it was something else.

I understand feeling hurt, but give yourself some time & you will be able to move on. Keep yourself busy, find some other interests to keep yourself busy.

Take care.

Hello Susie

Firstly thanks a lot for responding ...the reason why i posted here was i used to look forward to the responses last time when i was going through a separation almost 6 years ago which knowingly or unknowingly helped me a lot

Secondly i live alone so i have to deal with it by myself ..which by itself is more of a problem than the other unfortunately..i mean i was quite at peace living alone until this happened

Also why do u say "Unfortunately, this forum has pretty much died, very little activity."...people have become self sufficient or interest has died out /not useful?..any help i can provide ?

i will bear in mind what u have mentioned about long distance (the fact that u mentioned " I've read many posts about long distance relationships not working out for a variety of reasons.")

looking forward to responses ..we under estimate the power of words ...ultimately they are of most help along with actions

Best rgds

Years ago, there were two moderators of this forum who devoted a lot of time and attention to it and really keep it going. Sadly, one of them passed away. The other said she was taking a short break from the forum but then never returned. The forum never really recovered from those losses, though there is still sporadic activity. Some other HW forums are much more active.
