I know exactly how you feel!! I go to bed fairly relaxed and fall asleep pretty quickly by the time I get in bed. But, it never fails that I wake up early, way before my alarm goes off, almost feeling like I am paralyzed because my body is so tense. I have found that the more I lay there and try to fall back asleep, the worse it gets. However, 4:30 am is waaaaaaaaaaaay too early for me to get up!! Sometimes I try breathing exercises; sometimes I get up to get a glass of water and walk around the house a little bit. It just amazes me that I can feel so much better at night, thinking I am getting a reprieve from the anxiety, and in the morning it starts up all over again!
