Hey everyone i have been here before but its been a while anyway i was talking to someone who has anxiety and she told me when she feels an anxiety attack she takes calcium because it is supposed to relax you or something does anyone know anything about this does anyone take it?

Calcium is a natural tranqilizer.  Magnesium also helps
relieve anxiety and tension.  Can be most effective if both are taken at bedtime to improve sleep.
 
If you take other meds or have other conditions always check before taking any supplement.
The mind is like a parachute - It works better when it's open.

Wow I never heard that before.  In fact I stopped taking my calcium this week because when I'm having anxiety I have an phobia about taking pills.  Going to go back on this morning and hopefully in a couple of days I'll start feeling a little better.
