Hey everyone. Ok Im a little worried about my back. I have this 1 little spot in my back that feels like a bruise, its rights by my spine but there is no bruise there,  it just hurts like a bruise when you push on it. I asked the doc about it and he said it could be my posture and he also said " Well any type of pain that you have in your body, could be cancer, Im not going to lie to you" then he said he doesnt think thats what it is, but if the did an MRI on every person that had a pain, then they would be doing MRIs everyday. Well of course that freaked me out. It never hurts unless  I push on it, so I guess I should stop pushing on it! But being the hypochondrriac that I am, Im wondern what it is? I guess it could be my  posture???
Any suggestions?

I think I had mentioned to you (in the email I sent you ) that any doctor that feels your body and automatically says " it could be cancer" is off their rocker
...........Get another opinion
Tests many of them have to be done for cancer if this had been a doc that had said this to me I would not hesitate to report him /her but thats me .......I dont believe Doctors are God's and I have a really great doc thankfully
I would seriously think it is anxiety related .........
Hot baths heating pad things as above post should work
Take care

Hi Angela

I agree with Lyn, your doc is either nuts or has a very bad sence of humor. Heat is good, I get allot of bruising and I find ice then heat really helps. Feel better soon.

Some dr's have no bedside manner. Unless you asked him FIRST if it could be cancer, and that's how he responded , then that's another story. I can relate to the hypochondiac part, bc I've been plaqued with those obsessive thoughts in times past(it started when I was a teen, and came around sporadically but nothing too bad, to where i couldn't focus or anything) Anyway if you took a survey of ppl and asked, how many of you get aches and pains, or get twinges of pain everyday...I'm sure everyone would raise their hand. And it also has nothing to do with age, as I am only 34, and had unexplainable pains and aches every now again even as a teen. Could be as simple as not enough water(my joints really ache then) too much caffeine, GAS, not enough vitamins, and most of all stress. I can touch my forehead and feel pain ,one day, then rub it the next day and have no pain. Our bodies are a mystery. Just know this..the more we stress the lower our immune system becomes. Is worry worth robbing you of your health?

I too think it is most likely nothing I get bruises all the time with no marks leave them alone and it will go away but by all means feel free to get a second opinion as I have no med background.
