Hi everyone.  I have suffered with differnet forms of anxiety all my life.  I've been pretty well under control the last few years with Celexa and a psychiatrist.  I get migraines as well and that was under contorl pretty well with chiropractic.  However, lately (I'm 46 and suspect it is hormonal), my migraines have increased.  I can't get the worry of the next one out of my mind, I can't reason it out.  Every twinge or pain I think  it is one coming on. I worry when people invite me to places like Thanksgiving and think picture myself there with a headache.    Today that happened and I got the worse panic/anxiety attack than I have had in a long time.  I felt my mind racing,  felt like was was between awake and dreaming, got a hot flush and felt like I was dying.  All brought on from worrying about getting a headache.  Plus, I think the worry only makes my head hurt worse, because now I have a major neck ache.  Any thought on stopping the worry cycle.

You could try some sorts of relaxation techniques like breathing or warm showers or bubble baths or relaxing music or something. I am sure others will stop by with more suggestions

Hello noelygirl
Please try the best you can to relax. Find something you really use to love to do and try that. A very hot bath will also help. Roll up a towel and lay it in the tub and lay flat on my back and put the towel under my neck and just lay there if my bath startes colling off I run more hot water in it.
Good luck hun hope your doing better soon.

Relaxation and laughter and walking. I too suffer with migraine and I know EXACTLY what you mean about being afraid to make plans, any plans. I just sent an email to my gal-pals asking them to do something and as soon as I sent it I wanted to take it back. Migraines can rule your life. I get them several times per week and sometimes for several days in a row. I am 42 now and they have gotten worse each year and I too suspect the peri-menopause changes for this.
