I have OCD, panic disorder, anxiety and depression. I go from freaking out over symptom to symptom.
This past weekend, I have been checking my pulse constantly. We did alot of walking uphill and it was racing until I rested. After that, when I feel my wrist it feels fine and normal. When I check it in my neck, certain places feel like there is somthing extra. I had an EKG a few months ago and doctor said it was fine.
Can someone please reassure me (and don't tell me anything scary?)
Thank you sooooooooooo much!

Hi there
yes I do check pulses all of them
You have pulse in belly neck and feet as well as regular one '
Sometimes the one in your neck is more prone to pick up all of the pulses for whatever reason(perhaps as jugular vein is main artery and main spot )
Dont let it alarm you
I have had this happen and to me and patients as well ........It is okay so please relax a bit
you are not alone okay

HI!  I have had problems like this in the past myself.  I would lie and bed and look at the alarm clock and count until the number turned. I'd sit there with my hand my neck counting my pulse to my watch until one of my friends told me to knock it offf!   It is just part of this anxiety thing we suffer with.  Try and forget about it.  Our pulse can go up and down, especially with exercise.  Actually exercising more is what helped me because now my pulse is naturally lower.  Hope this helps.  --_Shari

I do this all the time, I cant go anywhere without a watch it drives my family nuts so I found ways to take my pulse without them knowing like sitting on my hand until I felt the beat or hiding under a cover of some sort, I still do it but not as much as I use to FOR NOW I am sure that symptom will come around again right now it's dizziness and off balance, one time I laid in bed at night with a flashlight and a watch so your not alone it all part of this AP disorder I will tell you that if you ignore it and oh my it is hard to do it will calm down slower, for me mine has to be between 86 and 92 and i will keep taking it and taking it till it reaches this level. I also notice it beats faster after I eat and that is when I am really bad at taking it. Hope this gives you some comfort.
