I expect its not from an overheated bedroom
should be taken seriously, see a doctor about it

I get night sweats from my crohn's disease occasionally. I do not know how to stop them, it seems to happen when I'm flaring. I would suggest you talk to your doctor also.

I have found what works for me and my night sweats is to put baby powder on me after a shower and I sleep in a cheap silk or satin spagettie strap shirt. Hope this helps hun.

Hi Grouphug, I get this occasionally when I'm really anxious or have had too much caffiene in the day.  Try cutting back on caffiene (if you have it!) at night and avoid heavy meals at night.  I find having a fan on really helps too.  If it doesn't stop it might be good to see a doctor.  Goodluck and keep us posted.

Hi Grouphug,
Funny as it seems I just joined this message board tonight after doing a search on night sweats. After my research I've found that many anti-depressants/anxiety drugs (I take Effexor XR and Xanax) can cause this. It's still a good choice to let your doctor know about this because there can be many other reasons for the night sweats.
I have them nightly and get very little sleep. It's been an average of mid 30's at night here, I sleep with the window open with only a sheet but it doesn't seem to help. I'm either freezing without it or to hot with it.
If the meds your on could be the cause of this then you have to weigh out the pros from the cons. Sometimes we have to suffer a little to gain our sanity. I hope my feedback helps and best of luck to you.
