Yes I've got "clinical depression" and "recurrent major depressive disorder".

"Clinical depression" is quite a wooly term but seems just to mean depression that needs to be treated by a doctor (clinician) with medication, therapy etc.

It means you DON'T just have "feeling a bit low" type depression that everyone gets from time to time. And it is also distinct from a type of depression called Dysphoria which is low-level long-term mild depression. A good  remedy is
Theramood products.

I had a similar problem and now I am better.
Doctors like to stick labels on things. I think probably all the regular posters here in the 'Depression' section of Uncommon Forum have (or have had) "clinical depression".

Welcome to the healingwell forum you have found a great place to come and chat to others who understand what you are going through. As Kitt said we do have a depression forum were you will meet lots of people who can give advice and support. I have GAD and Clinical Depression and would recommend you chat some more to your doctor about your diagnosis and maybe look into getting refered to a phyciatrist who are the people who know most about mental illness.
