But I am back on medication. I was on lexapro for about a year, then felt great and was able to stop taking them. But now I am starting to feel the anxiety again, just not like it use to be. before< i use to freak out basically and just got nervous a lot and was always thinking I was going to die(my dad died of a heart attack, so I always worry I have that in my future). I had those thoughts again about a month ago after going to his grave and visiting home and since then have been kind of down due to having to be on meds again. Now I am taking prozac, and have been taking it for about 2 weeks now and feel a little better. btw, I've been off of lexapro for a year as well. I think The reason why things are better now is because I know meds work for me and I know I can control anxiety. I just need to work on my weight(I am 6 ft 6 380 lbs right now, have lost 20 lbs the last 3 weeks). and have joined a gym again. I also have gone to the doctor for ekg and stress tests along with a physical and everything came back normal. my blood pressure was a little high(140 over 78) but I get nervous as hell when I go to the doctor. I am just glad I don't get the chest pains that people in here describe, just tightness when my mind really starts going. I plan on going to the doctor again this week just to see what she says about everything and see if there's any other tests I can take to make 100 percent sure everything is ok.
