So I have been doing nothing different, and I've been having the worst neck/upper back pain. Whenever I lay down to sleep or anything turning my neck, it hurts so bad. When I don't pay attention to it, it doesn't hurt as bad or I just don't notice it? My upper back hurts pretty bad too. My doctor told me I need to get a massage, Its JUST TENSION!! ANyone else experience this?

I agree with the massge, if expensive can you get a friend to do it for you, use any warmed vegetable oil

a long soak in a hot bath should also help

try to stay relaxed, let go of all excess tension in your muscles

hey there. for the past month or two my upper back has also been giving me a hard time. i occasionally goto the massage therapist, it helps me while im being worked on, but pretty much as soon as she is finished working on my back the pain comes back, i believe WE have to learn how to relax. when im having a panic attack i usually take one of my xanax, it not only helps my panic attack but it also relaxes my muscles, causing my back aches and pain to temporaraly go away. i am not saying to take xanax for muscle pains and tensions, the only reason im saying this is to point out to you that it is more than likely your muscles under tension and stress also. take care
