Does anyone find themselves clenching the muscles in their jaw?  I find myself doing this and frowning.  Very uncomfortable.

Miny ppl with anxiety do this but learning how to stop this is apart of learning CBT and I think that it will help you with the tencing of muscles in your body.

Anxiety makes me do this and also when I first started effexor I would do it, especially in my sleep. My jaw would ache when i woke! It doesnt seem as bad these days.

I clench my teeth and now have TMD in my left jaw. Hurts like crap sometimes. I've tried the mouth guards but I end up spitting it out while I'm asleep. When you notice yourself clenching you can drop your jaw a little and raise the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth to help hold it open some. Do not chew gum either.
