this should be done while letting go of all excess tension, the movements should be done slowly putting effort on the muscles in both directions

relaxation exercise is the opposite of 'pumping iron' exercises where shoret quick movements with resistance in 1 direction only are usual

remember most anxiety sufferers have too much tension in their muscles and bodies,so  let go of this

its normal for the heartbeat to increase and become more apparent, accept this and ignore it, do not listen in to your heart or monitor it

I used cardio exercise to get over my "thumping heart" fear. I figured it is SUPPOSED to thump and be fast while exercising, so for once I didn't have to worry..lol. Stretching exercises relax my muscles, and my mind. The more tension I can get out, the better. I also use the screaming into the pillow thing, seems to release a lot of pent up tension..LOL.
