I'm 23 years old and and I have been suffering from this condition since I was 15 years old. I have an anxiety disorder and everytime I get upset, nervous, mad, excited about something, or even sometimes when I get in the sun I break out in hives. They rarely ever last over 20 to 30 minutes and they go from my face down my chest down the tops of my arms and a little ways down my back. If I don't get real upset they will only appear on my face and chest and may last only 5 or 10 minutes. When I'm in the sun the hives seem to only appear on my legs. I have lived a shelter life because of this and have missed out on so many things because I wanted to do and be a part of but, because of how embarassing this is I havn't. If anyone knows a way to treat this, please let me know. I want to get on with my life and lead a normal life. I want to have normal emtional feelings that everyone else has and not morph into this red splotched up creature. If anyone has some advice please write me. Annaleigh

You get the HIVES TOO FROM THAT? I didn't know that it was possible but it makes sense.

I get hives all on my face and neck and sometimes my chest when I'm STRESSED out and I always think it's because I"m allergic to something.

But when my mind starts racing... all the sudden.... BUMP... oh.. there's a hive... BUMP.. there's another...

I'm 20 years old and it bugs the heck outta me!!!

Welcome to Healing Well by the way. :)

I would say perhaps try some relaxation techniques or breathing exercises when you start to feel stressed. Now that I do that I don't see the hives much... but some afternoons I get 'em all over my face if I'm not careful and think way to much!!!

You can find the techniques here:

"Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up at the stars."
