I finally saw the specialist today and he told me there is no way to check hormone levels etc. I was ready to break down crying as this weekend has been bad. He said the only thing we could try was the pill. Unfortuently knowing the right pill and the way it will work on you is unknown.
I told him I'd wait to next month as I have noticed an improvement with the pms now I'm on avanza, so I want to give it time to really build up in me and make sure all the prozac is gone. I think that's why my weekend has been bad, I only fully stopped the prozac 2 weeks ago. The amount of chopping and changing the docs have put me through in the last 6 months of meds it's really no wonder my mind and body keeps having little break-downs.
Has anyone had success with the pill easing their pms? or have you found it made your anxiety/ depression worse?

Hi Aussie Angel...I haven't tried the pill for pms but I was on the contraceptive  injection - this stops all periods and for me pms became a thing of the past..but, as with any meds there are always one or two side effects and for me they were weight gain and fluid retention.. :-)

Thanks Maree, I don't know what to do as my moods dropped down so low again I'm going back into hospital tomorrow.

I was put on the pill at age 14 because my periods were so bad.  It did help regulate them a little but I always had bad pain, fatigue and depression.  I ended up having a hysterectomy at age 28.  I am still being treated for depression at age 44.  I hope you find some relief soon.
