First off, a side note to EVERYONE that replied to my "Magic Bullet" thread, and everyone on this board in general...
T H A N K   Y O U   S O   M U C H !
I'm not going to lie, when I went back and re-read that thread, and saw how many people here actually CARED what was going on with me and my health, I teared up with what little tears I could muster. You guys are the absolute best, without question. So to offer an update/rant...
I took everyone's advice and went back to the doctor today. Complained of the constant nasuea and pain, made it VERY clear that I'm going on a month now with no signifigant food intake, and that I'm not going to last much longer on this course. Well I guess something finally got through because my doc finally decided "Hey, let's run a few tests and see if maybe something else is going on" You'd think common sense would tell you to do that first instead of after a patient's already hit rock bottom, but apparently not. Anyway, I've got four tests they need to run, all of them bloodwork. And honestly, I chickened out of it today. I know I need it, but it doesn't make sense, at least in my mind, to take 4 vials of blood from a person who hasn't eaten in a month! That just seems REALLY dangerous in my current condition. I'm close to passing out now as it is, I don't think I could give up that much blood and not have some consequences. They gave me more medicine from my nasuea, and wouldn't you know it, it hasn't helped much either. about the only relief I've gotten is putting some hot water against my stomach but it's only temporary...once I take it off my stomach the symptoms return.
So I find myself at the crossroads again....scared to let them do the bloodwork but knowing I desperately need it. Anyone with knowledge on the subject, doesn't it seem really risky to take blood from someone who hasn't eaten in a month? It's like they didn't even take it into consideration my total lack of nutrition. I went and got some Ensure shakes like everyone suggested, and I'm working up the courage to at least taste one tonight, hoping it'll give me some energy without making my stomach feel like a boiling pot of lava. I'm supposed to go back and get the tests done tomorrow so any help between now and then would be much appreciated.
debaser- I know you'll read this(I think you still have internet access but I may be wrong!), and I've got to tell you brother...I think I'm getting close to taking your advice and heading to the ER to let them handle it. The way things are going it seems like I'm on the fast track there anyway, might as well be under my own power right?

i think you should get the blood tests. i'm not sure if you'll pass out or anything.  but if you drink the ensure, at least it'll give you some nourishment.  i don't think that the doctor would've ordered the tests if he thought it wasnt' safe.
i really think you should go forward with the tests.  the reason why i am pushing for this is because in April, I kept putting off getting a chest x-ray because i was afraid.  this only made my anxiety worse cuz i kept thinking that there was something seriously wrong with me.  i will never delay again.  i don't ever wanna go through that again.  you need to just get it done and move on with your life.  this is no way to live.
good luck.

even though you havent i'm like pretty sure that you'll be fine for blood work. you might get a little woosy but just move slow. and your body will make more blood. even though your not eating. it's still working correctly or you wouldnt be typing. its living off what little anything your putting into it and any fat you may have stored. so the blood they take will replenish like normal. and you need those test desperately. try the ensure sips though. little sips. even if you like it. just sip it. it's been so long you need to take it very slow. and good luck.

I am so glad you had the conversaiton with your Doctor. Now tomorrow you go and get the blood draws.  You said you need 4 tests,  Blood draws are in 5ml or 7ml tubles depending on the test.

Therefore if they needed 4 tubes of 7 ml = 28 ml which is less than an ounce of blood.  If you make sure your lying down while they draw the blood and then just stay down for 10 minutes after the draw you should be fine.

I am truly afraid if you don't get the tests and find out what is going on you will collapse from dehaydation and malnutrition then you will get the IV and fluids that way.

I recommend the ER if you start to feel worse or become disoriented.  You can not go on like this.

Just do it, and get to the bottom of the stomach pain.

Keep posting as we are here for you and I have faith in you........ yeah
