I've noticed something today that is just killing me, I usually take my medicine right when i wake up and eat something, lexapro 10mg and .5 alprozam, I'm 3 weeks into the lexapro, I think it might be causing me to have anxiety, I was on paxil for about 5 yrs and then It just crapped out on me, I use to think I was just having anxiety after I woke up, but it might be the lexapro causing it, I started thinking back, I start having the anxiety about 30 to 40 min. after I take it. I usually feel fine hours later. I'm going to go w/o taking it for a little bit tomorrow and see what happens. I can't even think of switching medicine again, I feel like I'm going crazy.

Hey Bay...am I correct that you take the Lexapro in the morning? What if you try taking it when you go to bed, that way maybe if it is for some reason why you are having anxiety, maybe you will sleep through it. I take my Lexapro before bed, and I haven't had any problems with that. Just a suggestion. You may wanna try that before talking to your doctor, who might suggest you switch meds again. Plus, you are only 3 weeks into it, so it hasn't had time to work for you. My suggestion would seriously be to try it at bedtime for a week or so and see if that makes a difference.

Wishing you all the best!

Good Morning

It may take 4 weeks or longer before you start feeling better. If your symptoms are worse, you may need to consult your physician.

I hope you start feeling better. Take care.
