Does anyone get nausea from anxiety? I cant figure out if its the anxiety, or the fact that I just started taking xanax pretty regularly.

Yes, nausea is definitely a symptom of anxiety.  I also take xanax, and have not gotten nauseous (sp?) at all from that, but it may be different for you, so maybe you should ask your doctor to be sure.  I spent several months with terrible nausea, to the point that I couldn't eat anything, but once I accepted that it was just another part of the anxiety, it did go away.  You are dealing with alot of stress right now, and that may be what is affecting your stomach as well.  Give your doctor a visit to be sure, but it's probably just the anxiety.

Benzodiazepines rarely cause nausea, but anxiety can. It sure did with me.

Xanax was not designed to be taken regularly for any length of time, and if you do then you will develop a tolerance to it. That means you either have to increase your dose to maintain efficacy. In other words, if you are building tolerance right now you're likely seeing a return of anxiety symptoms, which could explain the nausea.

If the Xanax has helped you then you should think about discussing a long-acting benzo such as Klonopin or Valium with your doctor.
