Anybody ideas?

To make a long story short I have had anxiety panic/health and GAD all my life im 25. And since being diagnosed with Lyme disease in Feb of 07 my anxiety has gotten 10 times worse! I'm sick to my stomach everyday to some degree and it's so frustrating!!! I would have thought knowing what was giving me the weird symptoms (the Lyme) that were not anxiety related would make me feel less anxious but they are not!! My muscles in my back are always achie and my stomach my is never happy! not to mention the constant neck and shoulder tension. It's hard to tell whats form the Lyme and from my anxiety!! I take Klonopin 1mg 3 times a day and it's just makes me tired!! I have tried every antideppressant on the market and they either make me gain 20 pounds, have constant nightmares or I sweat to death and feel dizzy!!  Any ideas anybody?? This increased anxiety is really taking a toll on me and I have even tried natural remedies that didnt seem to do much!! sad

I think this is pretty similiar to your question above. I did post to that and left my ideas.

Your anxiety may be because of your diagnosis.  Many people suffer from health anxiety, worrying about themselvs and what might be going on in their bodies.

I hope we are able to give you some support in the A & P forum

That sucks. Sorry to hear about all your anxiety. What helps me is exercise. I like to ride a bicycle. I don't know what it is, but it releases that built up anxiety.

Wish i had some more ideas :(

hi Jess sorry to hear about your anxiety,

Like Dan said everyone is different, but music helps me, also thinking about new recipes, clenching and releasing my fists as you would if using a stress ball helps, basically anything that will take your mind off your anxiety or the certain thing making you anxious at the time. Hope that gives you some ideas, and hope it helps keep us posted. :-)
