Hi all,
Questions, I was dx w/panic disorder after having a very bad bout with insomnia, eventually I would lay down in bed at night and have a panic attack...or I would wake up in the middle of one, very scary, I thought I was going to die.
Klonopin saved me, I have been on and off it 2 years now, had trouble tapering a a few months ago and have been using it more and more since, and still have trouble sleeping.  I can't take more than 1mg or I feel dopey.
So here is my question, since insomnia is such a problem for me, I was put on Zoloft and barly slept for 1 week and felt horrible, and the Klonopin is no longer really helping me sleep, what is everyones experience with other SSRI's and insomnia?  I have heard Lexapro and Effexor have the least side effects, Thoughts?

Many will have the no sleep thing when starting out on an AD at first but usually it will go away ......or you can take it in the am and Klonies at night ( talk to doc) ........You didnt say what how long you have been on the zoloft but it can usually take up to 4 to 6 weeks to start working
Many have had great success with this med and also with Effexor ....Lexapro .....

I believe it depends on the person .....

I am not a doc but I would think that perhaps the 2 are contraindicting each other if both taken at night ya know.....maybe ask your doc if you can do the morning dose with Zoloft and have your others at night .....
Hope this helps and plz do stay with us
