Normal for pred. Commented on your other thread. Reduce salt. Drink more water. Not sure why bloating would cause more BMs though?...
Nexium is not for bloating... The bloating is because prednisone causes fluid retention. Reducing sodium intake can help....
I don't see the point in taking it unless you develop heartburn. Those acid reflux meds have their own risks and side effects....
Wait, 30 mg 3 times a day?! Do you mean 10 mg 3 times a day? I hope so......
I guess I'm more afraid of having to go to the hospital or doctor's office and being around all the germs. 500 people in line for the grocery store is insane!!...
I miss running, too. Hopefully we can all get back to it soon! I am starting at scratch now and super out of shape. Used to be able to go out for a 25-mile training run! I also heard Humira takes 3...
Anyone else really anxious, not only about getting COVID-19, but also about what if you get really sick with a flare or something else and need medical treatment and have to go to a hospital right...
Sorry for your loss. :(...
I had the most severe migraine of my life after stopping Uceris in January to see if Humira was working. I thought it was just a coincidence or a side effect from Humira, but I never really knew. It...
Yes, I really hope it works for you! You've been sick way too long! Try not to worry about the side effects too much. You had no other good option right now really!...
You can take pred with nsaids. And there is actually not any conclusive evidence that nsaids are bad for UC. I take Aleve at least once a week for headaches lately. My GI said that was fine as long...
Make sure you stop your Uceris when you start the pred. Not sure if your rheumatologist told you that....
Everything has possible side effects. You might not have any. Most people just have more energy, maybe gain a little weight and might get a little more irritated than normal. The common and temporary...
Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on that site. Thanks!...
https://www.npr.org/2020/03/21/819124774/how-people-with-weakened-immune-systems-are-navigating-the-coronavirus Doesn't really say much new, but a doctor is quoted saying the drugs some of us are on...
I completely agree. Incredibly selfish. Like those self-absorbed millennial spring breakers in FL....
Maybe someone else will chime in. I hope it does improve for you....
Here is a study to back up what I shared via email: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2780076/ "For moderate to severe UC, the preferred initial prednisone dose is 40 mg/day administered...
I already gave you my ideas via email but I will add that I (mostly) love prednisone. I loved how great it made me feel, how quickly it worked. And I'm sad I can't (shouldn't) use it anymore due to...
Hmm, weird. I've never heard or read that before in my life and I've done a ton of research about running and UC because at one point I was very concerned with figuring out if running was making my...
Not sure what you mean by "breakthrough symptoms." You're either flaring or you're not. I used to run marathons and ultramarathons. I was sometimes flaring and sometimes was not. Some people without...
I went to Mayo once. Doctor spent like 2 seconds with me. I hated it. Never went back. Used to live a little over an hour from Rochester. I went to Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse instead. They were...
Really? Wow. My doctor's not making me get scoped. I just got approved for Entyvio and can get my infusion anytime now. Also, thanks for sharing this information in this thread. Very interesting....
Yes, I know headaches are different from migraines. I was recently diagnosed with migraines (in January). I probably had them for years, just not diagnosed. Some days I am not sure if what I am...
My doctor said starting Entyvio right now "should be safe but we have no data." I called the small infusion center I would be going to and she said she's trying to limit it to one patient at a time...
A bar is doing that near where I live! Yes, they are selling alcohol to-go! Lol....
I wondered if places would be cancelling appointments. I have a neurologist appt (new patient and I've been waiting 3 months to get in) April 8 and a follow-up with my GI April 20. I hope the neuro...
Hi, please respond if you see this and tell me how long it took after stopping Humira for your migraines to stop. I am in a similar boat. I stopped Humira 4.5 weeks ago. I see a neurologist April 8....
How long did it take until headaches went away for those of you who stopped Humira? I read the drug takes 3 months to completely leave your body. I'm one month out and still getting migraines/almost...
That's what I thought I remembered from your other posts. I completely understand. And no one knows if the reason you didn't flare was because of the biologics. Good luck....
You weren't even flaring when you started Entyvio, correct? So you have no idea if it helped at all, right? I believe you that your side effects were from the meds. I had horrible side effects from...
I messaged with my doctor today about if he thought starting Entyvio was okay during all this Coronavirus stuff. He said he thought it would be safe but that they have no data on it. He said he...
I was not deficient two years ago but I was when tested a couple weeks ago. My level was 13.8 (normal is 30+). I had been taking a multivitamin and calcium & Vit. D supplements since mid-November but...
That's the only time I have ever seen that nurse practitioner in my life. My GI regularly gives me Tramadol for my UC and he knows this neuro they have discussed my recent issues... I'm not a...
Not even an extremely small script? Like 5 pills??? My pharmacist said her family doctor gives her Vicodin for her migraines and she was shocked mine wouldn't give me any. All I've tried is Imitrex...
I'd try it if I were in your shoes....
I would be worried, too! So sorry. Hopefully you'll be just fine. Take care....
Yeah. Thank you. I live alone so it's just me (and my cat). I'll probably still go to the appt because I'm having a lot of migraines still (which I think were caused by taking Humira) and I really...
I have a couple doctors appointments in April and am wondering if I should cancel them. One is a new patient neurology appt that I've had to wait 3 months to get into though (my symptoms are no...
That's good. Thank you. I actually work for the federal government. My agency has paused all work-related travel until April. I am glad they are taking some proactive measures....
Well, that's not what my doctors have said. I was trying to help tblock....
The agency I work for is having everyone who can telework one day next week to test out our systems. It's possible they may mandate telework in the near future. Luckily, I work from home full-time...
It increases your risk of cancer if you're on both. My dermatologist did not like the fact I was on Humira and Imuran and my GI also said he wouldn't plan to keep me on Imuran for long. Imuran was...
I agree, Rosie. Good points....
I don't think it's stupid to stock up on supplies during a pandemic. The CDC recommends people stock up on supplies on their website, especially people at higher risk (like us). It's very natural to...
Almost nothing could get me on a plane right now. I didn't even like standing near people in CVS when I was there buying toilet paper just now. Lol....
I just stopped by the CVS in the small town near where I live and they were almost completely out of toilet paper! I'm so glad I saw your post and then went and got some when I did. They were...
I'm glad to hear you got to go home and are feeling better!...
Thank you, Dee! Really hope you get better soon!...
Thank you, Serenity! I enjoy your posts as well (and your user name, lol)....
