I had an ileocecal resection and they DID remove my ileocecal valve (not sure if that is the same thing as a cecal valve?)...
I too, am dealing with terrible gas pains currently! I drink LOTS of ginger and/or peppermint tea and dont go anywhere without my "Magicbag" (heating bag)! Walking lots i guess can help (sometimes)....
