Is mucus the only symptom? I wouldn't worry about an IBD with only mucus as a symptom, as that's much more of an IBS thing. Certainly worth checking it out, but I wouldn't go to worst case scenarios...
Good luck, give it a try but don't bet-the-farm on SCD. If your husband needs a surgery, then SCD is unlikely to change that at all. Generally diets work better for those with mild symptoms...

Sounds right! Apriso comes in 375mg pills, a typical dose is 1,500 mgs or 4 pills daily. I've never seen a different maintenance or flare dose stated, just the 4-pills a day figure. The initial...
Mesalamine/Mesalazine has a reaction to bleach and to air. Mesalamine will turn a darkish purple to black when hit with bleach. Mesalamine can darken your urine, I pee dark orange, to brown, even...
The elimination half life of prednisone is around 3 to 4 hours. This is the time it takes for your body to reduce the plasma levels by half. It usually takes around 5.5 half lives for a drug to be...

Too funny! Glad you can dance with an ostomy appliance and it'd be nearly invisible, sounds like one less worry for you! We have a lot of knowledgeable people who've undergone the surgery here who...
