Hi Everyone,
I'm writing today to see if anyone has any suggestions for me. First, I should say that I have year round allergies and I wear contacts. I have received allergy shots for the last 10 years or so, and my allergies have improved quite a bit since I originally started receiving them. I also take one Zyrtec-D tablet daily. My biggest complaint is that I have chronic red/irritated eyes, primarily because I wear contacts daily. I hate to wear my glasses. I refuse to wear them, and I continue to suffer wearing these contacts, because I hate them so much. Has anyone else been in this situation, and if you have what relief have you found. I'm seriously contemplating Ortho-K (where you wear contacts at night and they changed the shape of your eye) or Lasik. I'm very leary of having the lasik done though, more fearful that leary, lol! Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tuna

I have worn contacts for 44 years. I began to have allergy related issues with my eyes a couple years ago. The ophthamologist prescribed Patanol eye drops. They work great. I have even been able to stop using claritin since I started the drops. They work on my nasal passages too. Good luck.
