i i wanted to know if allergies can make you dizzy, i had a spell where i was working and it was like someone placed something over my eyes for second then i kinda of pitched sideways.please let me know if sounds allergy related thank you ginger ann

Your question is actually more common than you think and though I'm not sure how much I can actually help you with-I can at least give you some examples, so you can discuss this with your Dr.
My son had lots of allergies many years ago when he was a bit younger and during his freshman year of high school they could not figure out why he was getting dizzy spells. He played sports, had known allergies and asthma, but they found all sorts of things in between to test him for, including heart problems! It was pretty scary. The bottom line is that his/my allergist said he could be dizzy from his allergies and proceeded to put him on med.'s to treat them and his dizziness seemed to go away. So was it from allergies?? We'll never know for sure.
Sometimes when your BP is a little low and you stand too quickly, that can cause dizziness. Inner ear problems can cause dizziness, as well as some medications and heart problems!
The plain symptoms that you mentioned of just working and suddenly pitching sideways, sounds like you definitely need to check with your Dr.!! Get this checked out and please let me know what happens?

teri,are you a health professional ? thanks for the comment. i had a headache in the front over my eye for a few days before that happened so hopefully it is sinus or ear infection
Yes, I have somewhat of a health background. The headache?- you didn't mention that before...? I would most definitely seek out medical attention with your Primary Care Physician (PCP) and have this looked into as soon as you can.

Several years ago I had a dizzy attack where I felt like I was riding a out at Six Flags - up and down and I was sitting still. Felt like I was going to pass out. Scared me! I went to the doctor and did all kinds of tests. All the tests came back with what they were suppose to be - they didnt find anything wrong. Blood tests were fine and my hearing is good. Did not head exercises (up down etc) Then a month or so later the dizziness went away. I chalked it up to allergies. Then a few weeks ago the dizziness hit again. Not a good feeling. Called doctor for allergy medicine. Hope it goes away again. Anyone gone through this?
Hi: I have a lot of respiratory allergies and get dizzy too. One doc thought it was connected to a virus. I am also allergic to drugs and my first dizzy thing was when I took velosett which is an antibiotic. The doctors can test you very easily and offer you a med like anti-vert. It doesn't go away by itself and you should really see somebody. I assume you drive and it is not a good idea to drive while dizzy as your sense of where things are can be way off. I was dizzy for several weeks the first time but now it is old hat for me and I just tell the doc what I need. Take care of yourself.
