I was just px'd Ambien for sleep! Does this seem unusual to anyone else? Okay wait, I know it's a sleep med. I meant I'm surprised it wasn't more seroquel or ?
I don't know about it being prescribed but I was given that drug when I was in the hospital having my last child. I was on no other meds at the time and it made me sleepwalk. Can't say that would happen with anyone else but I woke in an abandoned corridor of the hospital and found my way back to my FLOOR with great difficulty. Needless to say I didn't like it. Of course it can't do that to everyone or they wouldn't be rxing it at all. Hope you have better luck with it.

lol, the stuff has to work for the vast majority of people or they wouldn't prescribe it.
Yeah, I don't really understand why he would rx Ambien when you were doing fine on Seroquel, which is more effective anyway. Even tho Ambien isn't a benzo, it still has risk of dependency and tolerance. Seroquel does not. As far as weight gain, it's much less likely to cause weight gain than Risperdal and Zyprexa, studies showed this. Besides, since you've been watching what you eat and excercising you've lost weight while taking it anyway! It's better for you given your psychotic episode a few days ago. That was on Seroquel AND Abilify! (You probably should have talked to your doc about an increase). So, why the heck would he take you off it?????????
