Hi, I just would like to say hello to everyone and briefly introduce myself. I'm a widow and the mother of 2 wonderful daughters. I was diagnosed more than 20 yrs. ago with complex partial seizures. I've taken nearly all prescription meds available for seizures, both alone and in multiple combinations, and now have a VNS implant because no meds were working. I had been driving, but had a car accident many years ago and suffered a blow to my head, which made my seizures worse.
Since I had the VNS surgery a few months ago my seizures have decreased in intensity, however the frequency has increased. Has anyone else experienced this? I am also suffering an unending cycle of seizures causing stress which causes more seizures.
