Anyone on Doxil?

Right there with you Cath on the "here we go again . ." After radiation in fall to shrink nodes under arm, I had a PET Monday only to find an "extremely suspicious area" in the right breast.  No real reason to biospsy I say . . I've had a rash there for months but onc didn't think it was anything. I wondered but thought it was due to swelling from lymphdema as upper left arm has the same rash.  Apparently it's more than a rash.  OK . .surgery not an option, more radiation would be extensive so he says Doxil.  I say "go fishing" . . I'm getting tired (whine moment there).  Do you lose hair on Doxil? I've lost it 3 times already and am not sure a 4th time is gonna work for me.
 
I know I don't post much but would appreciate any thoughts.

Haven't had the Doxil.  I know what you mean about losing the hair!!!  I've lost mine twice and it's just starting to grow back pretty good now.  I'm still in the "rug" but not for much longer.  Just don't want to scare my 1st graders.  I'd not want to lose my hair again but we do what we have to do to get well....

Will be saying prayers that things begin to get better for you.  Don't feel bad about whining - I do it at LEAST once a week and I'm over all the surgery, treatments, and going thru reconstruction, so you have a right to whine when you need to.   The big "C" really stinks - doesn't it!

I don't know a thing about Doxil, but just want to let you know that you will be in my thoughts & prayers. YOu have always been such an inspiration to many of us and I hate that you've got to face another round of treatment.
Please keep us up to date on how you are doing.

Jackie, I cannot tell you anything either about Doxil, but I can also add my support and hugs and salute you with inspiration. I understand about "going fishing"...have you considered a 2nd (or 3rd) opinion if you think the onc is not sure what he is doing?

I know someone has talked about Doxil before, but I don't remember who. I was just talking about you the other day. My daughter came to Dallas to a seminar and I met her at the airport and took her to the Rain Forest Cafe where we spent a couple of hours together before she went on to the seminar. I was telling her how we met there when it was first new. I am so sorry you are having to go another round and I wish I had more information for you. I will keep you in my prayers that Doxil will work and rid you of this newest problem. Hugs MK
