Welcome to Healing Well.
A lot of people here can understand how you are feeling. When my depression was really bad, it took so much effort to even get out of bed on a morning. I use to try adn set myself a target every day and It felt great whn I achieved it. Some days it was only little things such as walking to the end of the street and back. I tried to find a hobby and I tried to exercise. The exercise was hard as I couldn't motivate myself to do it but once I had, I felt really good after it.
Do you have any help with your depression?
Take care and keep posting

cherish all your happy moments....they make a fine cushion for old age
i was diagnosed twelve years ago.
i have been through several years of therapy, with some pretty decent LCSWs, but i also had a couple duds too. i've been in groups, and even "checked in" for a month in 2003.
i have been on one or more meds for most of these twelve years. i think my max was five at once. various med "recipes" included prozac, zoloft, wellbutrin, serzone, effexor, xanax, trazadone, ambien, cymbalta, and a couple others i can't remember.
i did a few years of yoga, been in and out of a marriage, moved about the country a bit.
nothing quite took.
things got bad a few months ago. i ended up quitting my job. i weaned off cymbalta with my doc's help before i quit, because i am now uninsured. i remain unmotivated and isolated. i RARELY leave my apartment, and go day on end without talking to another human being.
i read a lot.
