My boyfrend is asthmatic and he uses an inhaler, but i was wondering if there were any other products that he could take to help his asthma. I know there are loads of allergy products available, but i haven't seen any other form of asthma medication for him other than his inhaler and a nebulizer when things get serious.
Anybody able to help me out with this one?

I know of a couple asthma maintanance meds but I'm sure someone more experienced in asthma will come soon to answer your question. The ones that I know of is Singulair and Advair, both which is used to maintain the asthma but not prevent attacks. These meds are to prevent the frequency of attacks. Has he ever tried these yet?
Seratide is used as a preventative in Australia. My own asthma has disappeared since I have been on Prednisone for autoimmune hepatitis (AIH has caused cirrhosis). Not a remedy I would recommend to anyone though. Marg
Asmanex is a new maintenance medicine, Xopenex inhaler ia a new medicine replaces proventil it's an as needed and is a lot better than proventil, Singular is a once a day pill and I use Naproxen as needed. Have him go to the Doctor and find out what is best to use.
