heya, sorry for the bluntness of the topic tital!
 
anyway, i've had a look up on that Digestive Advantage stuff you mentioned and it seems worth a bash. My question is, do you know how i might get hold of it in the UK because i live in england? Also, i notice they do a free trial but they don't say anything about it for those who live abroad, do you reckon they would send out a free sample to me in little ol' england?!

Sorry it took me so long to reply; I was out and about yesterday.
Anyway, I'm not sure if DA (themselves) will ship you a free sample.  However I do know that when/if you want to buy it drugstore.com ships to the UK.  You can try calling the DA company at (800) 406-4650 and ask if they ship free samples to the UK.

Did you try the digestive advantage??? and if you did , did it work?, i ordered a free sample and have it here, but i havent tried it yet, im scared to. They also sell it at CVS pharmacies here now. Pleas let me know if it worked for you?? Thanks

Yes, it worked (it's not a cure though by any means). It works for many of us, however, there are some here that say it did nothing. Really it is a combination of "good bacteria" that helps to regulate the intestines. Helps with gas and constipation and diarrhea. Don't be scared to take it because there are no side effects and it can't do you harm.

heya Lil, thanks for getting back to me

awesome to hear that you much better now. I haven't really been here whilst i was trying the aloe gel and it's nice to come back and see that you've got a result. Unfortunately, i know the pill isn't causing my ibs - because i'm a bloke!

thanks for the info about DA - it seems quite a cheap product anyway! Also, is it true that it only takes a couple of days to notice the difference? 

Also one more thing, would it be worth taking probiotics as well - i thought DA is a mixture of good bacteria, so would i need probiotics as well? I tried something which i think was called acidopholus (or something like that!) years ago but after a couple of weeks it didn't seem to make much difference, so i stoppped taking them - should you give them longer?

Because good bacteria are essential to proper digestion I would suggest you take the probiotics (acidophilus, or which ever you choose) along with the DA.  Even if you don't see a difference with either the DA or the probiotics, I would continue with at least the acidophilus (or whatever probiotic you want).  You may even try switching up and trying one you see better results with.  Usually it takes at least 1-2 weeks to see any results from consistent probiotic use.

No, in my opinion I don't believe it is true that you'll see results in 2 days from DA.  It took me just over a week.  When you get the pills you want to take 2 pills for the first 2 days you take it.  Then you go down to 1 a day.  Try to be consistent at the times you take it.

Thanks for mentioning DA though, because i had never heard of it before and it sounds like it's worth a try.  I'll order some from drugstore.com like you suggested and let u know how i got on... :-)
