I need to talk with someone who has been diagnosed. My brother has, and it seeme pretty serious, he has been told surgery is the only option at this point. He is in denial and is putting it off as long as he can, so he says. I need someone to talk to about this, I am very concerned about him. Please help.
I would get another opinion. Surgery isn't usually an option for barrett's unless there are complications. People can and do live for years without more serious problems. There is no cure but proper diet and medication can help with the symptons.
