Being Mom..

hehe last nite was the WORST ok funniest nite I've had in a long time..

My friend pops in from outta town yesterday and we stayed up for awhile talkin bout ol' times and it gets late so I offered her to stay the nite, my little girl can't sleep because brother's snoring so I let her go lay down in my bed..

Finally about midnite I crawl into bed~ my daughter's still up, I asked her "honey why you still up?" She says "mommy..do you believe in the lochness?" I said "well honey I don't know, I've never seen it so I guess not"

She asks "mommy, do you believe in bigfoot?"

IM UTTERLY exhausted by this point so I said "well I've never seen bigfoot, but then again.. there are pictures!" She says "yea, I think I've seen him.." I'm trying my hardest not to laugh or get further into this conversation.. So I said "Babey, it's late and we both need our rest.."

She then says "One more mommy, do you believe in the blackbear spider?"  I'm shakin my head in amazement.. I couldn't help but to ask "Whats a blackbear spider?" She answers "It's a black bear, or maybe it's brown but it's half bear and it has 8 legs like a spider.."

I said "No, honey I don't believe I've ever even heard such a thing..now lets go to sleep, k?"

We both kinda just snuggled up and fell asleep about the same time  and it musta been about 1/2 hour later, I woke up to a very horrible nightmare that included this really funky monster that had 8 legs like a spider.. I'm thinkin by this time, my brain is way overloaded so I stumbled into the kitchen for some water and this is where it get's completely unbelieveable!! I walked outside for some fresh air, and noticed one of my sweaters on the ground just laying there, I'm thinkin ~????~ Maybe on of my girls wore it outside to keep warm, it is winter........ So I reached down to get it only to realize the door shut........

Yep! I locked myself outta my house!!! I was thinkin, this isn't real.. I didn't do this, IM DREAMING! but NOPE..

I stood out there for awhile knockin on the door, nothing but silence.. I started knockin harder and harder still nothing.. ugh I'm feeling really stupid about now, and embarrassed to say the least.. my friend inside asleep, kids are asleep and Im outside with a friggen sweater bangin on the door.. Finally I start slammin my hands and feet on the door, lol and I know for a fact everyone could hear.. my dog finally comes to the door sniffing, and jumpin up waitin for me to come inside.. This went on for about 2 more minutes finally I smartened up and hollared for my friend through the window, and the door opened... OH THANK GOD! we both chuckled about it, and I went back to sleep..

Kids wake up today and I said, "why in the world did you not come to the door? Mommie locked herself outside" They all looked at me and said " we were scared! we thought a monster was outside the door!!"  My friend even told me she was a bit scared to come to the door too, till she heard me call her name....

Did I mention we stayed up with the kids tellin ghost stories with the lights off earlier last nite?

Lesson learned.

LOL Bet it was cold out there. Aren't you in Montana or someplace way north? Glad the spider bear didn't get you. How old are your kids? It sounds like you have a great time with them. Hugs MK

*shivers* yes montana, kinda glad that sweater was out there!

I do, have soooo much fun with them!!.. I really like their ages now..Chris is 13, Nikki 10, Natty 8... The girls are 15 mos apart, and almost drive me nuts with always competing for this and that.. my son always whispers to me, "why? why did you have to have GIRLS! I wanted brothers! " He loves them tho, no matter how much he says he don't.. they don't believe him when he says that and they climb all over him teasin him pickin on him.. all I hear is "MAAAAAAAAWM! come'on get them off me! ground them or somethin!" hehe but all I can do is laugh, I grew up with 4 brudders and I know how he feels..

They, well "us" can be so entertaining that the neighborhood kids come floodin in.. and then it gets a little chaotic, but the days when I don't feel good~ They are soo sweet to me, offerin me water etc and scurry around the house pickin up after themselves.. *giggles* I hear them sometimes, argue'n with each other saying "HUSH... mom, doesnt feel good!" ugh.. those are the days I could just crawl under a rock and hide.. :( I am still gettin used to being not as energetic as I was 2yrs ago, stupid crohn's has to interfere! But that's different subject..

Anyways, I'm grateful for alot.. especially being able to open up here and share the good and the bad ;)
