Cardiologist

Well, I am off to see the cardiologist today for my 3 month pacemaker check.  I am a little nervous about it as with all my passing out spells that I have,  I am afraid that I may of dislodged a lead again.  I dont want to go through a revision surgery once again, it is most painful!!
So please all my new friends.....wish me luck. :-)

Thank you for your thoughts dreamgirl.  I am in Missouri (central time zone).

Well, I have a Cardiac Catheterization scheduled due to extreme shortness of breath and my chemical stress test from October being abnormal.  I'm not too sure what was abnormal about it but my cardiologist thinks that the SOB is from my multiple system atrophy as it effects the muscles and not heart related, he just wants to insure this is the case I guess.  Needless to say I am a little worried about it.

:-)  hi elisha, you are talking a little over my head, well okay alot over my head. so now they want to do an angioram? is that the same as a cath? also i have never heard of the muscle issue, do you understand what they are saying there?

Hi dreamgirl,

Yes an Angiogram is the same as a Cardiac Cath.  I have Multiple System Atrophy which is an atypical type of Parkinson's disease and it effects the muscles and how they work.  So my cardiologist is thinking that my shortness of breath may be from that.  If it is there isn't anything that can be done about it.  But since my stress test was abnormal he is going to do a cath to be sure.  I also have bradycardia (slow heart rate) for which I have a pacemaker and a VSD (hole in between my heart ventrals).  He didnt think that these could be causing it.  I dont know.....

mad  jeepers, what a load of stuff to think about, or rather try not to think about. the people on this site have some very very critical situations and my heart goes out to all. so far i am like a baby to this issue, i have not had to endure much at this point, i am glad to know if and when i need to ,you all are here.with all this going on in your life are you still out there kicking ass and taking names?

hi elisha, i have been looking so forward to the chat tomorrow ... now it looks like i won't be home, pooh, i know this is very important for me, i need the connection, so i hope there will be another time.  there is a chance i can make it, but if i am going to be totally honest.... i will probably be at the casino spending a little $$$$$  i do not go often and i like it so much and tomorrow is the only chance for me to go for a while, so forgive me, but you have been aced out by a slot machine.
