Celexa

Hey, I am taking 5mg's of Celexa a day and I was wondering how much other people take of it.

Thanks

Jeff
Hey Jeff,  I dont take Celexa and haven't but I just wanted to say that I have had several clients that take it.  I have seen it given up to 60mg.

Hi Jeff.  I take 20 mg a day and have for the last 3 years.  I have no side effects now but did when I started.

I've read your posts on the crohn's site and hope Celexa works for you Jeff.  I pray happy days are ahead for you tongue .

Take care, Softy

Thanks guys. I just wondered what the normal dosage was because I am now only on 2.5mg's. I am afraid it won't work at this level.

Thanks again guys

Jeff
Did you just start on it recently?

I started about three months ago. I am going to my GI for a Crohn's update and I am going to ask if he can put me on Lexapro. Thnaks for th interest.

Jeff

Hey kids,  i've been gone for a while. been getting my self better.  I currently take 20mg. Have been weaning myself down.  Last fall and early winter i had the blues real bad. i asked the doc to  put me up to 30mg and she put me on 40mg. don't know if it was the SAD-lack of sunshine-or just family situations that caused me to slump.(daughter went off to college-now empty nester). Probably a combo of the two. sad

So, now that it is spring and i will be turning 49, i have committed to be fit, fabulous and 50 in a year.  Walking on the treadmill i bought last summer and am on the SouthBeach diet.  Feeling like am doing something positive.  I actually am kinda fun to be around. I think! scool Oh yeah, I getting braces on my teeth too :-)

I don't think that i will ever completely get off the Celexa. I have a genetic disposition. If i am careful and not drink too much caffiene at work, i am easier to get along with. Otherwise i tend to be confrontive and then have a fear of losing my job.  I really think that my condition is more anxiety than depression, but i think both are very interelated.

Punky

Hi Punky,  I had noticed that you were gone for awhile....so glad your back :-) .  Congrats on the braces and exercises that should help make you feel better.  I do know that I feel worse during the winter.  I am most definitely as spring and summer person to the core.  Take care and dont be a stranger....

Hello,
I am new to this site, but I saw your question re Celexa.  I have been on it for several years and the maximum dose I took(I am now decreasing and taking 20mg along with Wellbutin) was 60 mg.  Hope this helps
