ddd cervical spine

 I have been dxd with ddd of cervical spine. i havent worked since may of this year because to sit for any time really aggrevates my neck. I have pain in both arms and numbness and tingling in both hands especially in the mornings. I am on pain med anti inflammitory med and muscle relaxers. I just recently applied for disability does anyone else have this> i am only 37...

Prewitt, I am so sorry for what is going on in your life. I completely understand (as do a lot of us here) the frustration of not being able to do the things that a "normal" person can do at our age. It doesn't seem fair that this disease can strike us at such a young age but one thing I have learned is that a lot of chronic illnesses are non-descrimative of age. Most of us here are fairly young and having to deal with our lives being completely taken over by something that we have no control over. It is frustrating and at times very depressing. I welcome you to the forum. We all can empathize with what you are going through. WE are a very open and supportive bunch so welcome to the group. I encourage you to join our discussions and offer whatever knowledge you can to the topics. We love to have new people join us in our discussions.
