I'm a newbie here hopefully someone will be able to give me some insight.
I've been on thyroid meds for a few years. Here's my situation I've been dealing with....
When I go for a walk in the morning with my hubs I *used to be able to keep up with him* NO problems.
But now when I try I feel like I get SO hot that I'll pass out and I mean that literally. It's only when I'm walking or if there is a temperature increase all of a sudden. I just had meds checked and the doc increased a smidge.
This has been going on for a few years. Doctor can't seem to figure it out. Any clues?
I get SO frustrated because I should be able to walk and not a snails pace!!! It's ridiculous I can't even keep up in a grocery store or Wal-Mart.
I've had stress tests (done in the coldest room ever) came back nothing. Lots of other tests all came back nothing.
Any thoughts? Anyone think it's a thyroid problem? 😊

That's the other thing Doc has no clue why I can't get the numbers under control. I've been on medication for around 3 or 4 years and it's always been under control.
With that being said I have ALWAYS had this problem since I was diagnosed. SO I have no clue!
AND finally the doctor is going to do Free T-3 Free T-4

Do you take your Levothyroxine medication on an empty stomach at the same time and dose every morning??
Which brand name of Levo do you take? is it generic?

I take Levothyroxine first thing the morning with a glass of water on empty Stomach and then I wait at least an hour (usually it's like 3 -4 hours) to eat.
Euthyrox (would that be the brand? I have no idea if it's generic?)

nope no thyroid ultra sound yet. I think the doctor plans on doing that next.

Have you been tested positive to hashimoto's disease antibodies?
Euthyrox is not generic, it is manufactured by Merck.
Ask your Endo to perform US of your thyroid to see whether you have nodules or tumors that leak hormones independently, and for some hypothyroidism patients not every brand name of Levo works clinically, this is why you might want to ask your doctor to try another brand of levo.
The problem with generics is that if your pharmacy changes the source of the generic the absorption differ and thus you might find your self each few months out of balance!

Then ask your doctor to test you for the hashimoto's disease antibodies, these are antiTPOab and TGab !!!
