I've been getting leg, hand and foot cramps a couple of times a week lately. One charlie horse was so bad my calf was sore for a few days afterwards. I thought I remembered someone posting that they got them too and thought it was tamoxifen doing it and that they got somethign for it. Well, I called the onc and they haven't heard of anything like that. They'll probably do a potassium level or magnesium or something on Tuesday when I go. Does anyone remember that?
DH gave me a bananna, little things mean a lot.

I have been having this problem ,I was told to take vitamin E in the past and it worked like a charm. Give it a try the thing I like about trying this again is that its over the counter and I don;'t need to worry about my other meds. Hope this helps.They say bananas do help but I think I was told you can't eat enough of them if its because of your potassium.

Thanks, Donna, but I already take it every day for my hot flashes. Bummer about the banannas.

I don't remember a connection to Tamoxifen. Is that one of the side effects? But I used to have leg cramps like crazy and took Potassium tablets. I have also heard Calcium helps. Either way bananas are good, glasses of milk. If you get a cramp take an aspirin right away somehow that helped me get rid of the cramps. And I used a STOPPAIN spray. Hugs MK
