I AM A 36-YEAR-OLD FEMALE WHO STARTED EXPERIENCING A SLIGHT TREMOR IN MY RIGHT INDEX FINGER about 1 YEAR AGO. IT HAS NOW INCREASED TO BOTH HANDS DAILY AND QUITE FREQUENTLY, AND OCCASIONALLY MY LEGS (BOTH OF THEM). I AM SCHEDULED TO SEE A NEUROLOGIST NEXT WEEK. I AM ALSO HAVING DIFFICULTY WRITING. I USED TO BE A VERY NEAT WRITER, NOW MY HANDWRITING IS NOT LEGIBLE MOST OF THE TIME. I AM VERY CONCERNED THIS MIGHT BE PARKINSON'S. ANY ADVICE ON WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE TO YOU ALL?

Be ready though for the neuro who might want to treat you like you are a nut. I went to one a while ago for a tremor that started in my pinky of my right hand that ended up being my whole right hand. Mostly an intention tremor (non parkinsonian). She did no tests. Talked to me for a couple of minutes and then told me to see a shrink. It broke my heart. Sometimes you run into doctors like this especially if you are young. I am thirty. My tremors are worse now. And I have other issues. Won't go into it here this isn't my post or my forum. Just want you to know that sometimes looking for a diagnosis can be a rollcoaster ride. Good Luck.

current: asthma, allergies w/anaphylaxsis, high blood pressure, fuo's, raynaud's syndrome, hypothyroid, fibromyalgia
meds: Provigil 200mg's QD, Topamax 100mg BID, Wellbutrin 300mg QD, Protonix 40mg QD, Singulair 10mg, Maxair, Advair 250/50, Diovan 160mg QD, Synthroid .1mg QD, Women's One a Day, B6 and B12.

You posed on 8/16 and it is now 10/13. hopefully, they didn't find anything wrong with you. Your nurologist would be the one to see and to say what he thinks is wrong. Don't hesitate to see a second dr. for another opinion.
