drug induced abnormal liver panel vs. AIH

Hi,
my name is emmie. i am a regular over on the lupus boards. i have an overlap of lupus, limited scleroderma, hashimoto's disease (autoimmune thyroid disease), and a seizure disorder that is probably related to blood vessel involvement from the above.
 
on 10/24 i was told to stop taking my antiseizure med and plaquenil (med for lupus) due to elevated liver enzymes. i do not drink. i do not take tylenol because i was aware of the possiblity of liver issues with the anti seizure med. i do not take other nsaids due to allergy (analphylactic).
 
a repeat liver panel on 11/3 showed a slight decrease in the enzymes. i am wondering how long it might take for the numbers to hit the normal range. also given the other autoimmune history, should we be looking into that as the cause of the elevation?

I was taking carbitrol 2 times a day. No, I was not told to wean off. I took my last one on a Mon. a.m. (10/24) and was without seizure meds until Fri. evening (10/28). I had several seizures on that Sat. and one on Sun. Since then I have not had any. What kind of repurcussions can stopping an anti-seizure med suddenly--an increase in seizure activity obviously--are there other problems?

I am now taking Keppra 500mg twice a day. I think it makes me dizzy. But I also had hand and wrist surgery last Tues. so I think that has thrown me for a loop, too, since I wasn't in top condition to begin with.

I'm thinking the elevated enzymes are due to the carb, but with the other auto-immune issues I just got to wondering.
