Hi all. Just wanted to let everyone know that Ellen is awesome. We met yesterday for the first time. We were going to go into Manhattan for a Survivors Luncheon. We got there in the Mustang (nice ride). We stayed about 15 minutes. There was a long line for food. Ellen thought we should be served, so we left. We reallyl didnt want to hear about cancer for a few hours. We went for lunch and had a great time. We are going to try to plan another get together soon. If any of you have the chance to meet our wonderful Dr. Ellen, do it.

Vicky, I agree. Ellen is one awesome lady. I so enjoyed her bright, happy demeanor when we met in Louisville! I'm glad you guys went and had a good time. You were right standing in line to listen to talks about a subject you both know far too much about was not the thing to do. Having fun was the thing to do. Hooray for you both. Hugs MK

It's taken me a day to try to come up with a response to this. I'm moved. I have a family member who has quite a low opinion of me, and I internalized that for a long time. Even though I'm happy with myself now, one very nice thing that came from that low self-esteem is the wonderful gratitude I feel when people do what you two have done for me. I Thank God for the experience of reading these posts.

I am so glad you met the Queen of the electric slide. Dh took MK and I to the airport to pick her up and mk knew her instantly. I personally will never forget all the entertainment she provided. That electric slide was something to see. Make sure the next time you meet,you go where there is music, and get her to do her slide. Smiles are guaranteed.....L&H Joyce

Sweetie, anyone who has a low opinion of you has the real problem. You sure don't!!!! Anyone who could accomplish what you have and have lived through all the adversity you have deserves all the kudoes in the world. Just your accident alone could have really destroyed your life but you chose to forge on and look what you have done with yourself. I am very proud to call you my friend. You go girl!!! Love MK
