I was just wondering if anyone here has had epilepsy surgery, and if the surgery left a indentation on your temple. I would like to have mine filled in, but not sure what I should do. My surgery was a sucess, I no longer have seizures. I would just like to get rid of the indentation.
I have 2 friends who have had TLE surgery and they do have a dent. Is it visable or are you able to feel it? I am sure it is noticable to you.....Have you asked the neuro surgeon if it will decrease in time?

I have the dent. After my first surgery I noticed the indentation and told my surgeon about it. During my second surgery he actually put what is called medical bondo (ground up cadavar bone) in the area where the skull piece was placed back in. It was supposed to seal the area and prevent another indent but it didn't. The indent isn't as bad but I still have one. I tell people that with the plate, screws and bondo in my head, i'm qualified as a car now!
