      sick of meds

Well Willow died, my dads cracked and my mums just..... well the thing is willow had downs syndrome so evryone felt sorry for her. i ended up hating her for getting all the glory. then she got sick and she became less of a sister and just some other kid.
Crystal, Im sorry to hear about your sisters passing. I had a little sister that died when she was 8 yrs. old and I was 10. She had encypholitus(spelling?) for 2 yrs. the last year she spent at home with mom taking care of her until she died. I also felt left out , and pushed aside. I also had an older brother that had severe epilepsy and that also took away the attention I probably needed. But I feel like my parents did the best they could under the circumsances. There were 4 of us kids all total. I only have one left now that lives in another state. I guess what I am trying to say is Im sure your parents love you just as much. I dont know all of your circumstances that goes in your home. But I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive your parents and your sister for being ill. It will help you feel better about yourself and also the feelings that you had for your sister. Time will heal everything. God be with You!

Wow Crystal. You have loads on your mind I would be depressed myself. But one thing you should think about: It wasn't your sisters fault that she was born with Down's Syndrome. And you mention that you ended up hating her because she was getting all the glory. The glory that your sister Willow received was not from your parents taking care of her but because she was blessed by God. She received God's Glory. She is in Heaven now. And believe me, she does not hate you for the way you felt; she loved you and still does. If I have learned one thing in my life it is this: You must be able to forgive yourself for things you have done or thought about or even said in order to have that burden lifted from your 'shoulders'. I don't think that your parents 'ignored' you on purpose, I believe they felt like they had to give more attention to Willow, they thought she needed more. But that is their burden. Write your parents a letter. Let them know how you feel. Let them know that you need them desperately but most of all let them know that you love them. Did you parents ever hear you say that you hated your sister? If so, rest assured they don't understand why. They love you the same but if you don't let them know your pain then they will never understand. I'm trying to be direct to the point. I know where you are coming from. The same thing happened to one of my family members.
