I had punctal plugs put into my tearducts today. Eww, gross to me. I have sjogrens syndrome. I don't product tears. Have an awful time with allergies and dry eyes. They felt that plugging up the tearducts will keep whatever little moisture I have in the eye, instead of it draining through the tearduct into the nose. I was very nervous. It wasnt painful, just a bit unpleasant. They were sore at first, but now, I dont even feel them.
On a better note, I can finally feel this clavicle area tumor shrinking. It is slowly shrinking. For now we are staying on the taxol and gemzar combination, two weeks on, one week off. Side effects havent been too bad. I feel worse after getting a neupogen or neulasta shot.

How long have you been doing Taxol? I was supposed to start this week but my counts were too low so I start next week. I understand your problems with the Neulasta and Neupogen shots evertime I have them I ache for 2-3 days. It has always been worse than the chemo.
Did you have a recurrance? I dont think I have ever asked you questions yet. By looking at you member date you must have. Keep us posted on the tumor.

Hi Bernadette, this is my third recurrence. All local recurrences. I started the taxol the end of May. We added Gemzar in August I think. Good luck with the Taxol. I find it fairly easy to tolerate.

I'm glad you had something you could do for the eyes. I remember when we "did lunch" that you were very uncomfortable. I really hope and pray that this helps you....although I don't know WHAT I'd do if I couldn't cry with tears. It's my ultimate weapon in my marriage LOLOL
