I've finally decided to give up on the prozac - I've actually gone on and off of it ever since starting it early this year... I'd stop taking it when the sexual side effects (zero libido) got too overwhelming. (Hubby is very understanding, but our marriage suffers without an intimate relationship) Of course, when I'm not in the prozac I'm overly angry and have insomnia.
I'm going to start on Wellbutrin this week - wish me luck. After much research I think this is the one I want to try next. I have to say the risk of seizures is a little scary - every website makes that a huge issue... but the risk is small.
Does anyone know if you can drink alcohol while taking wellbutrin? I don't drink often, but enjoy a glass of wine or a beer once in a while. With the prozac I was getting sick the next day from only one or two drinks. Wonder if the wellbutrin is the same??
I once took prozac and it gave me no side effects whatsoever and it really helped with my depression but I came off it as it didnt help with my anxiety. I now take lexapro and just darent have a drink with it incase it makes me feel awful.
I hope the wellbutrin helps you. I have never taken it but I hear good things about it and it helps many people. People all react differently to medications. I hope you get on with it ok.
